Hi all
« on: February 19, 2007, 23:19:08 PM »
Hello everyone, we are Christine & Eric.

We have logged on here before but forgot what our logins were so we have logged in again.

We are moving over from England to live in Fethiye in a couple of days.  We will be staying in an apartment in Tasyaka until our villa is completed in Uzumlu in early April.

The villa is off a track next to the fuel station in Uzumlu.  It is a 4 bed detached on 3 floors.  Part of a development of 3 similar properties.

We are looking forward to living there as the scenery is spectacular.  One of our first priorities is to start learning Turkish.  So if any of you can recommend someone to us we would be grateful.  We were thinking it may be good idea for a group to get together who want to learn Turkish to have someone come to us and do it together. That way we can all be embarrassed together at the same time.

We are bringing 2 cats with us so are having to fly over on different dates with a cat each.  Thats surely going to be fun.

Well we will leave it there for now.  We look forward to making some new friends when we get over.  Take care and enjoy the sun.

Christine & Eric.

Hello Christine and Eric welcome to the forum which you will find invaluable as you are moving over (you lucky people) I hope your move goes well for you and your cats. Good luck for the future. I am learning Turkish and it's a very difficult language to master; however persevere and you will not regret it.
Heather

Hello Christine and Eric and a warm welcome to the forum.I can speak some Turkish, but have become lazy over the past 3 months because of illness.I will need to get the Language books out soon,to refresh my memory. The best of luck on your move.Heather is right in relation to learning a language. It does take time and perseverance.

Hi both,
Just arrived back from Uzumlu where I took possesion of our new villa just behind the red petrol station. We are hoping to make the move in April / May and look forward to meeting you.
I was in the Wine House yesterday about 12.30 pm and there were Turkish lessons taking place upstairs so help is on hand in the village. I suggest you ask when in the wine house and they will give you the times etc.
Good luck with the move
Fi & Eric
