Hi I am Helen and I am new to the Forum. I have recently bought a place in Calis and we hope to retire in Turkey. I am 26, married and a teacher.

Hi Helen. Angela my wife is also a teacher. Not a job for the faint hearted! Lots of holidays - she was out for 5 weeks last Summer at our place - but you pay a premium on flights. Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow teacher. Wow you have bought a place in Calis at 26, im trying to buy my first home here in England and finding that tough, never mind a second home abroad!
