Hi all... great website...made me much less scared of moving to calis, knowing there a loads of friendly people out there..

I am only 32 years old, not married..  I have visited calis many times on holiday and love the area and the people..

I live in Hertfordshire at the moment 30 miles above london..... conjested nightmare..

I HAVE MY HOUSE FOR SALE AT THE MOMENT AND AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING TAKING VERY EARLY RETIREMENT AND PURCHASING A VILLA IN CALIS..

CAN YOU RECOMMEND THIS I AM VERY SCARED BUT WANT TO TAKE TAKE THE RISK .. ?

hi monty and welcome why don't you rent first and see whether you will settle.there is info on here in the search engine that may be of help.our mind is made up we are moving when we retire

Welcome to the forum Monty, only you know what lifestyle you want, at this stage in your life, renting is a great idea, for both your house in UK, as it will give you income & keep your foot on the ladder, in case...and give you the opportunity to 'sample' the other, best wishes, whatever you  decide

We are new to the forum also, been to calis/fethiye six time in less than two years, cant get enough. Just waiting for the day the wife says she wants to give up work and we are there!
Great that you have the bug so young, and i would echo the sentiments of the previous posts, if you dont need the money from the house in blighty, rent it out and rent one in calis with the money. Quids in!!!!!!

Hi Monty, welcome to the forum, only you can make the decision, i had to sell in England, i couldn't afford to keep it, after i had to finish work through ill health, and there was only one place i wanted to be, with my friends, beinga postman and working silly hours i never really made any in England, all i had was workmates, so i upped and left, and i'm loving every minute, wish i'd done it sooner. Hi Monty, welcome to the forum. With such a big decision as you are thinking needs a lot of thought but if you have visited Calis many times and know it well, that is certainly a help. Good luck with what your fial decision will be.
