I heard B52 and Aladdin's have also been shut for the same reason.

On a serious note, a walk down the prom can take a while just stopping and chatting for a minute or two with a number of the familiar faces. In doing so, are we exposing them to the possibility of closure - even if we made the first move?

It would be a sad Calis if all the guys we have got to know are too scared to say hello.

Isn't that the point though. Koycegiz doesn't get the number of visitors that Calis does - despite other threads implying that tourism is on the wane. Isn't it just a simple case of economics?Supply and demand? Of course its cheaper at the far end of the beach there aren't as many punters? Of course they look pleased to see you! You might be the only people they've seen for hours! Isn't it like anywhere else. Using Venice as an example. A cup of coffee in St Marks square will cost you upwards of a £5- go further into the back streets and you can get a 3 course meal with half a bottle of wine for £12. You dont get the views of St Marks basilica but value for money you get! [8)]

I must say that it was someting that bugged me at one time the old song and dance routine of "You come eat in my restaurant" "May be next time" or "I've just eaten thanks". But thinking about it, it would be quite a shame to see that taken away as its all makes up the personality of the place. Like everything else it will settle down once the Belediye get their teeth into someting else.
