I managed to find this little snippet about Ciftlik. As far as the population is concerened if Fethiye is 60,000 (according to The Rough Guide to Turkey) I would estimate that Ciflik's population would be around 6.000.

Ciftlik is a charming rural village but still within easy reach of Fethiye and surrounding towns and only a 30 minute drive to Dalaman airport. There is a local shingle beach which is much quieter than most and ideal for a peaceful day by the sea. Ciftlik boasts breathtaking mountain views and in most parts of Ciftlik there are stunning views of the sea. There are many shops and mini markets along the main road and a weekly bazaar selling fruit and vegetables.

thanks steve....do you <or anyone!>  have any pics of Ciftlik - ? and if poss a map of the local area...? have googled but not getting much back...I don't want much do I! :0)

At worst Sniffy if you can't get a map you could always try looking at google earth.

there is the birlik bar and restraunt
take inn, and suats place down from ciftlik
they are all by the beach and have sunlounges etc
they are in coca calis worth a visit.
