Any thoughts on this!
Just read this in the Daily Mail,TURKEY-you cannot buy land,so you have to form a company locally to buy a house,although you can own an apartment in your own name. written by I.phillips@dailmail.co.uk

If you go on to the Turkish consulate website and look for  the regulations about buying property, I think it tells you on there. And I think twin bee might be right about it being different for rural houses and property for sale to the forein invester, but again I am not sure. I also heard at one time that you could own the property but not the land that it was on, but again I don't know how true that is. I would like to know though. :)

I cant get into the article, but basically there is not a problem with foreign nationals purchasing a property land, house, both or have land and a property built, as long as it falls with the boundaries of the imar plani (sites for improvement etc)    .  There are areas that this will cause a problem, to over come this many have opted to set up a company enabling them to purchase, it is not an easy option (although some agents will tell otherwise) the problem I have been informed is when the purchase wants to dissovle the company.

Always use a lawyer.

Noebar, you do not have this problem, also I think the house is nearly ready and the pool is nearly there also.  Can I christen it?
