This a newbie for Calis, I hope that it will be a success and run for many years. It has to be better than the 'festival' that they organise in Hisaronu every year - a bit of a non-starter that one!

puma, it's planned for every year in the future, but I am not sure of the dates for 2009 onwards. We went to the launch party last night at the Aqua Park. It was well attended by local businesses and the mayor also came and endorsed the event. It seems to be very well organised and there's great plans for the days leading up to the Carnival. All monies raised will be going to local charities, hence we will be giving the event 100% support.

It looks as though it could be really good and I hope it will
be successful. What a bonus for anyone over in that week.
