Great Feil Maree: 2007 Part 1
« on: September 01, 2007, 21:36:14 PM »
I had the pleasure of being involved in the Great Feil Maree 2007 in Dingwall today. This was predominately a Charity Event, reviving the major market event in Ross-shire circa 1890, and raising lots of money for local charities.

Here are some pics of the varied programme throughout the day.

One of the many stalls

A Clydesdale

A Bouncy Castle

An Accordion and Fiddle Band

Two Shetland Ponies

The Gaelic Choir

Face painting

Massed piped bands - hairs on the back of the neck stuff

Old fashioned spinning

Young farmers pulling a tractor

The Deputy Chief Constable of Northern Constabulary's Car

There were a goodly number of vintage cars on show which I will post separately and a "special" event which you will have to wait for.
