As the festive season is upon us and we wish each other good cheer, I have often wondered why some people use the word xmas, where did it originate and what does it mean, (if you see what I mean!) Does anyone know how and why this word came about?
I have to say I don't care for it myself, and much prefer the traditional word 'Christmas'. So while I am here, I will wish each and every one of you the very best for Christmas and the New Year!
