I used to suffer very badly in the UK, I didn't actually meet anyone who was as big a miserable, sneezing sensitive nosed poor sod as me :D It isn't a manly thing to have lol

I had clarytin, beconase, in fact nearly all of them and they helped 0%.

I still get it over here but it is nothing like as bad - just occasional sneezing fits and sensitive nose and roof of the mouth (urgh) - there is an antihistamine available from pharmacies over here that seems to help more than all the ones in the UK, and if I can remember the name of it I'll post.

Hi
Some friends of ours who suffer very badly not only with hayfever but also very badly with hives/red rash with the heat and sun (where none of the UK remedies had worked) were recommended to use a Turkish antihistamine, they tried it and say it is fantastic.

I have just come back from Dalyan and my partner suffers really badly with hayfever so I bought some back with me and he says it is great, he is diabetic and I checked with the chemist and he is fine to use and it is non-drowsy too.

Sorry I am at work at the moment so can't remember the full name but the dosage is 180mg and the name starts with an F something like Fenxydril or something similar, when I asked the chemist he knew straight away what I was talking about and I bought it at 11ytl for a box of 20 (again a good price compared to UK remedies too).

Anyway hope that helps, I will check tonight for the proper name but someone else might recognise it from the above, but definitely seems to work much better than anything tried over here.

Karen

My son suffers very badly with Hay Fever, it's much the same for him in Turkey as it is at home. Over the years he's taken various medicines, tablets, sprays etc.  What he takes varies from year to year, our doctor told us that a 'resistance' builds up which necessitates changing medication fairly regularly :(!
