Garden Centre - anyone!

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy plants and tree's for the garden and a place that would also be able to deliver for a large order.  Many Thanks

As you turn off Dalaman road to Fethiye ,garden centre on left hand side ,found to be very good with advice where to grow , not only after a quick buck they do seem to know what they are doing! Regards Calvin from friendly Uzumlu

I like the place at the end of the Gunlukbasi Road, where it meets the Fethiye/Dalaman road (on the right).  There;s a chap who can speak english, the plants are in pots like you would see in the UK and they are all in lines so you can see what you are buying.  Rather than all over the place in tins.

Wherever you go, make sure they understand where you live incase (like Üzümlü) it gets cold at night in the winter, some plants wont survive.

Methinks this is the same place!  LOL  You have just come at it from the opposite direction, LOL.  Interesting 2 Uzumluites have mentioned the same place!

Would agree with the 2 posts about the Fethiye/Dalaman road centre, but there is also a good one, though smaller, on the Dalaman road at Ciftlik,  good plants, knows what will grow where and will give free plants (small though) if you frequent there a lot.

I think Pegleg recommended that place to us.  We intend to have a look next time we're passing.

there is a little place of gunluckbasi road i think it's called altin we bought a cherry tree and a apple tree in april and both are growing very well

Why is it that every garden centre you go to the owner follows you around even though you explain to him you are just looking?! The joy of garden centres back home is that you can look around at your leisure and not feel under any pressure to buy.
