When should Charity begin at home ?
« on: October 13, 2008, 10:52:28 AM »
We all must be aware about the worldwide financial banking crisis, we hear constantly about the 'credit crunch',small businesses going under, mortgages being foreclosed, people unable to pay fuel bills, job losses etc.

Bearing this in mind, I wonder how things like the annual 'Children in need' extravaganza will be affected? It is heartbeaking every year to see the people who are in desperate need of help and I'm sure we all donate what we can however I'm sure that the majority of people's circumstances have changed in some way this year. I wonder if there will be a point where people will say, 'Enough is enough' there's nothing spare or not as much as usual [?] It will be interesting to see if they can top last years total .
