Bad day at the office
« on: November 20, 2008, 17:15:40 PM »
I just found out my boss's role is being made redundant and another guy that works in a different section of the company is having to combine his job with my bosses (for no extra pay!!).

I then find out that my lovely, young (female ;)) Hungarian co -worker has been offered a full time job elsewhere and has agreed to take it:(

Not a good day. I really like my boss and at 61 I feel he will struggle to find meaningful, well paid employment. Also when my Hungarian colleague leaves it will mean I am the only one who knows how the store actually works (the other guy works on the transport manangement side of things and has no idea how to run a sales office) so I expect to be given more to do (for the same pay of course):(

Interestingly we have an almost identical set up at another branch in the company and it's by no means certain that the manager at that branch will lose her job to the transport manager. We find that out tomorrow.

Roll on 6pm and I can go home and have a large glass on Shiraz :)
