Pound collapse hits LUFC
« on: December 16, 2008, 17:09:38 PM »
Just to show Leeds fans have a great sense of humour:DTaken from 606:

Breaking news from the club:

Due to the crash in the value of the pound against the euro, and the fact that Ken Bates lives in Monaco and has to use Euros, Leeds United have decided to overhaul Leeds United into the Eurpoean Club we all expect it to be.

Season Ticket holders will shortly receive an invoice for an additional 43% of their season ticket price to cover the drop in sterling, payable before the Leicester game or they won't be let in.

In the spirit of Christmas, junior season ticket holders will be given an LUFC toffee on recipt of their additional payments.

In keeping with the Euro theme, Leeds United will be redesigning the pitch and goals in metres, so that if we conceded a goal we can start a dispute with the FA or other relevant body.

Leeds will be demanding that Leeds points are increased by 43% or rounded up to the nearest 50 in line with other countries prices when introducing the Euro.

Balti pies will be replaced by Brie baguettes, Mars bars replaced with toblerones, chips will be served with mayonnaise, and Garlic cologne will be available for a euro from small smiley gentlemen in the toilettes.

Ladies will no longer be required to shave underam, and ladies replica shirts will now have slightly longer sleeves to accomodate this, prices for these will have to be raised by 72% of course.

Billys Bar will become Billys Bistro, pints will be replaced by pernod, and mullets with moustaches will be mandatory for entry, including for die damen.

Fans will no longer be allowed in wearing DMs, Oliver Sweeneys or Pumas, but will have to wear clogs. These will be available in ploystyrene from the club shop.

Any fans caught swearing in English may be subject to ejection by the stewards, all fans are requested to say things like 'Zut Alors' or 'Treut' when Le Lucas lets another goal in.

The Super Leeds Fan half time entertainment will change to Los Fanos Superbos, and the fan will be required to drop a goat in a barrel from the top of the East stand, and if it lands on a dodgy linesman the fan will be given a small sombrero wearing wooden donkey called Enochio.
