Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Looking forward to some much needed sunshine...!

Having a hassle just now with Travel Rep tho... I used them to book the hotel, and then when I contacted the hotel about a transfer, the owner informed me the room I'd booked would have no balcony! Anyways, I went back to TR and vented, because they have advertised as 'all rooms have balconies'.. only for them to say 'well cancel and lose deposit'! pffff! It's ongoing at the moment, but I told them, I refuse to lose my deposit (however small), as they have falsely advertised.

Grrrr... wish I'd just booked direct!  You live and learn!

Hello all..

I was searching google this morning.. i was wondering how is life in Fethiye. I know fethiye because i have a few friends living there and also i have my holidays in Fethiye / Ölüdeniz- Çalis-Hisarönü  :) But to build a new life the informations i have are not enough.
Short info about me : I was born in Istanbul. I am 43 years old and planning to leave this big city because making me very tired and i need silence and peace. After crisis i closed my company ( textile and organisation) ..That was a big lost for me.. So, to start from zero and build a new life i would love to hear from you about Fethiye... Job alternatives, rent a house and etc ...
Thanks all from now on..
I am a web designer too. ( Not very proffessional but i finished the course and create my own web site )
See you around  :) Take care all .. :)

Hi and a very warm welcome to the Forum. I spent a week in Istanbul and came back on Sunday......stayed in Sultanahmet and as a visitor loved every minute of it, but could I live there....a resounding NO! I was pleased to come back to the relative tranquility that is Fethiye. That said I would certainly revisit Istanbul. As to working here you must balance the financial hurly burly with the somewhat laid back style that is Fethiye. :)
