When we were in Boston last autumn we stayed at a really modern hotel. Not only did it have plasmas in the bedroom with ipod connections but the whole place was buzzing with music (a bit too loud on occasions).
One thing that was interesting and got the drinkers out early was every night for 45 mins they let people play their favourite ipod tracks over the bar music system. Anyone and everyone was welcome and it was quite interesting to hear music that I had long forgotten as well as a few I'd never heard.
I just thought this might go down quite well in one or two of the more musically orientated bars.
