Many thanks Mr Scunner for  clear instructions on how to get to Ocakbasi now know exactly where it is it will be a good place to celebrate our anniversary next week.   It would be handy for 'newbies' if everyone could give some basic directions when recommending places. :)

Good point Jezz
For all newbies The Harem is the first restaurant on the corner (right hand side)  as you come to the promanade via the wooden bridges over the canal  :)

littleredevil-  The Kraal is in Fethiye,at the end of the marina going away from the main area you will see an obelisk, if you have your back to this with the sea behind you, its up a side street just opposite, tables & chairs outside, left hand side of the street about 30 metres up.Really reasonable, local specialities + pide & esme to die for!!!

Just for Jezz,to get to sovalye island.Normaly you get a boat from the end of the Gullit moorings where the water fountain is located.Which is close to the belediye bus terminus in Fethiye. They will drop you off close to the sunset,or at the other end and you can enjoy the walk round the island.I think you can possibly also get a boat from the small jetty at calis close to the shat restruant, but they are normaly work boats and may send you to fethiye.have a good day. Jon
