I walked into a shop here to buy a pair of trainers for my son.He is visiiting Turkey soon.
The trainers I liked (a pair of Nikes) had a label inside with the size printed in US,UK and European sizing. They were a size nine and I asked for a size ten as this is the size my son takes. The assistant went to look in the stock room, his boss went to look in the stock room. They returned with the size nine trainers and assured me that in Turkey a size nine will fit a size ten foot and my son would be very pleased with the trainers in a nine. They would be very comfortable and what is more I could have them for a very reasonable price.
I am now left wondering about this phenomenon of the shrinking feet in Turkey. If my son flies out here will he experience this unusual result of air flight somewhere over Bulgaria? When he flies home to England will his feet be restored to their original size? Has anyone out there had it happen to them?
