Electricity Bill online

To open up a new bank account these days you need to present 2 utility bills as "security". My Aydem bill has always been in the name of the builder, so I went along to the Aydem office to get it changed. No problem, after filling out a form and just 5 minutes work by the clerk, she presented me with a scrap of paper showing 66TL!! This is, as I now understand, the charge for changing the name on the bill to mine - an extortionate cost and one I would have NOT agreed to had she told me BEFORE I filled out the form etc.
Has anyone else had this experience? Is there any way of complaining and getting my money back (I did not pay cash at the time, but as my bills are paid via DD by my bank I'm stumped).

Further to my earlier message, I also hear that if I want to change the name on my Council/Building Tax bill it will cost me 98TL!!

These are the only utility bills I get, so how the hell do I ever open up another bank account??

Does anyone know the email address for Aydem - can't find one anywhere, and I don't want to spend another 66TL on telephone bills to complain!

You'll have to make sure that you write your complaint in Turkish and don't expect a reply.

I have now got into the Aydem  went to http://www.aydem.com/tesisatbul.asp
input the info to obtain numbers, then I went to http://www.aydem.com/member/member_new_standart.asp
input the the top number for email account but then ask for sayac (counter number not sure what this is)
the Aydem site is not as easy to use as the old Tedas,  is there no Tedas in mugla anymore then?

still not able to check the bill (although nothing should be outstanding, but you never know!)

So, back to my original question: has anyone else had to pay the 66TL for just changing the name on the Aydem bill, or was I just ripped off?
