Ladies do not walk alone

Jules I am doing my very best to put across that I do appreciate that it is most definitely extremely terrifying for the women involved. The point I am trying to make is that I don't believe this is a widespread problem, more that it is the activities of a persistent but small group of pests.

One of the biggest frustrations I had through living in Turkey was seeing things that were quite obviously wrong and very negative, knowing it would take no time to sort out, yet conceding that it probably would never happen.

Keith, I apologise if this looked like I was digging at you.  I most certainly was not   :)

I can understand the frustrations you must have felt living there, and watching things happening that could so easily have been resolved.

Lets just hope this all gets sorted soon, and that no-one else gets hurt.

Julesbob0303

I agree with Julesbob303's hopes that these people are caught soon, but even more so with Kieth's suggestion that these events should be reported to the Police - and in my opinion straight away.
Without an immediate report to the Police and the information posted on this topic being made available to them it is Certain that no action will be taken by them until After the next ( and reported ) event. Too late for the victim.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the way anyone is dressed - it's the perception scum like this have of us - non Turkish therefore easy game.  Someone on a bike attacked me 15 years ago in Fethiye - at 6pm, broad daylight, wearing a pefectly normal work type skirt & blouse.  Fortunately, a lone workman heard me & came to my aid. The general concensus amongst my husband's family was that 'it must have been someone not from Fethiye'.  I can't believe all these acts are carried out by poor sex-starved young men from the East.
I think this is a major problem but one that will no doubt be swept under the carpet.

Iv'e just left a customers house,a young lady, and she's just returned from two weeks in Marmaris. She said blokes were trying to grab her boobs, her backside, and one put his hand up her skirt. She said she hit him so hard he went flat on his back, banged his head on the floor, and ran off crying. She said all the people outside the bar were clapping and cheering. But she said there is no way she or her three friends would return to Turkey.
Time for action.???
