a party of us went to the Sundial and had a very nice afternoon, the evening meal however left a lot to be desired. We had Spring roll to start with, these were edible & 7TL per portion, you can get a lot better Spring Rolls at various Calis eateries for 4-5TL. The main courses were:
Steak & Cheese (well done) wanted rice but didn't get it, said no veg but got some, mistakes happen
Mixed Grill 1 small piece of chick breast, 1 chewy lamb chop, 1 kofte, 1 small piece of steak & normal chips etc.  This was 24TL in this instance a disgusting case of Rip Off.  The few chips were very tasty.
Steak & Onions (Med to rare)came out well done but tender
Fillet steak (rare)came out well done but again tender but not what was asked for.
My oppinion is that on  ascale of 1 to 10 in comparison with other local restaurants i would be generous in giving it 4.
i am not knocking the place just telling people how it was for us.  This will not deter us from going again, because it is a nice place & decent people but there is no way i will be eating there again, i said this last year also. My assumption is that they are catering for the tourists 100% and the quantity + quality = that assumption.
i do however recommend it on all other points

They are certainly not there for mass tourism, how many of you that don,t live here actually knew about or where it was until it was posted here.  I,m going again tonight with friends, you go for the ambience, sunset, music etc, unless you go for the whole day.  It,s a breathtaking place, completely unique and actually I,ve never had a bad meal there, and I,m quite fussy.  I take all friends over here for a holiday here and no one has a bad thing to say about it.  Also another nice thing about it is they never want you to eat up as quickly as possible to  the tables free for more people

Totally agree with you Sarah, I love it there it is one of my favourite places in Turkey.
Do they still pick you up from Calis do you know, I really wanted to go up there when we were out this month, but someone said they do not pick up anymore, I was not confident enough to try and get there on a dolmus!

It is expensive (in comparison to eating out in Turkey but not the UK), but we went on a special night and we were very happy to pay the increased prices. Lovely

I.M.H.O. a great place, we went there at the end of May this year intending to have a swim & stay for lunch, we loved it that much that we stayed on for dinner as well. The food was perfect and the ambience was mind blowing. Muratt was a great host and even brought us back to Calis at the end of the night. We are going back there next month and plan to stay over night.
