Hello
« on: June 21, 2009, 19:23:09 PM »
Hi, Trev from Yeovil here.
Wife and I are off to Calis Beach for the first time late Aug, first time in Turkey too.
We're there for 2 weeks and staying at the Baha Hotel and really looking forward to it.
Anyway can anyone or all of you, give me an idea of an itinerary for our trip, market days and must visit places sort of thing, no clubs.
Sorry that my first post is a begging one, but we normally holiday as a foursome and we normally rely on a rather forceful young lady to organize and round us up :D

Our first trip we did an overnight trip to Ephesus and Pammukale --history
Boat trip a must do--good for tanning
Visit to the mud baths and boat trip up the Dalyan river- you get a close up of the tombs,

I am not keen on markets so will leave someone else to sort that one out.

Hi Trev

Welcome to the CBF. Saklikent,Tlos and Kaya are well worth going to and along with Heather's suggestions your fortnight in Turkey could be a busy one. Calis market is on sunday and Fethiye market is on Tuesday.

Enjoy your first trip to Turkey  8)

Hiya
You'll love Calis, it's so central for loads of places that are well worth a visit.  It's quieter than some of the larger resorts but that's what makes it special, for ma anyway.
If you use the search facilty you'll find loads of recommendations on places to visit and things to do.
Enjoy your holiday

Hi Trev, welcome to the forum, there's quite a few days out that are advertised round Calis, but as tribalelder said, you wont get to do it all in 2 weeks, and it's a bit too warm to rush around, so just relax and take it easy, you will be back to do a few more trips that you miss out on. Alan

Welcome to the Forum Trev.  Lots and lots to do - i would recommend the two day trip to Ephesus and Pamukale, also a day on the beach at Olu Deniz - perhaps stopping at Kayakoy en route.

Have a fab time, I'm sure you'll love it.

Many thanks for the warm welcome, just two months of boring work, then we're off  8)

The only thing that I'm not clear on and needs to be sorted, is what currency to take?
Looks like English pounds are used, but should we take Euro's and local currency?
Cheers
