We had been waiting for some time to try the Mozaik and were disappointed to find it closed on its winter break when we arrived in March, on hearing the restaurant had reopened and the sun was out and the sky was blue today, we decided to visit for lunch. Nichola handed us the menus and explained that there were some new dishes on this year, we particularly liked the description written about each and every dish on the menu and accompaying picture ( all but one shot by Nichola) I could not help thinking that if the food tasted as good as it looked and was how it was described, then this might be a bit special. It certainly was. I did something I can't ever remember doing, I made a conscious effort to order a vegetarian main course, their vegetable sauté and it was absolutely delicious, Chris had a casserole which was also excellent. We shared a desert, which contained walnuts, cinnamon and ice cream which was also lovely and then concluded with a coffee and another first for me, mint tea which were both on the house.
Nichola told us they are planning a grand reopening afternoon where they cook every dish on the menu and so you get to taste everything they do, we have put our names down and really looking forward to that.
I'm sure we will become regulars there from now on, whether it be for a meal or just a snack ( they do a nice wrap and also coffee with special walnut biscuits)
Really enjoyed it today and hope to see other forum members there soon.
