Have just returned from our 2nd visit to calis beach and spent 13 out of 14 nights eating and drinking at Serkul 1, not to be mistaken for Serkul 2, not the same!! Fantastic time had by all. Big thanks to 'H', Andy, Bazz, Maho, magic man and crazy guy.. you know who you are!! Food excellent and the late nights dancing and drinking even better! Highly reccommended and the friendliest guys you could ever wish to meet.  Already linking up on facebook and msn.  Will definately be going back next year if not before.

Ah, that`s the restaurant where a couple of years ago Scunner had a MSG overdose.  :o and that was only after the starter.  :(

Crabbit, not really sure I get the relevance of your point? Had this bad experience been a couple of days/weeks/months ago then fair enough, but given that it was a couple of years ago and there has been a different chef since last year, this doesn't seem like a justifiable comment. I am not denying that there used to be a lot of MSG in the food, I myself used to moan to Mehmet about it (hence the change of chef), but this just seems like petty sniping rather than constructive criticism?

I've never been to serkul 1, always serkul 2. May have to give serkul 1 a try this year, but what is the difference?
