Duty free allowance into Turkey

Hi everyone
I have just received an email from a friend out in Calis asking me to bring in some spirits when we fly out next Monday. Can anyone advise what the allowances are and if it would be cheaper to purchase at Manchester or wait until we get into Dalaman?

hi fifi you will find better special offers at manchester,ie 5 for the price of 4 etc usually you can take about 5/6 bottles each,you can check the prices at dalaman by going on there web site and emailing a question to them ,they are slow to reply but generally do

You are far better buying in a UK airport as you can get some brilliant 5 for £32.00

manchester as some good offers on the spirits,we do alot of clanking i usually take 5 bottles

Buy in UK as Dalaman is very expensive. As far as i can judge there is no limit as to what you can bring in  i asked the staff at Gatwick once and they said they will sell me whatever i wanted but that i should be aware that i may be checked at my destination and possibly have it confiscated HOWEVER i have never been stopped yet.

Many sites are out of date but having said that finding facts seems nigh on impossible. Coming back from Rhodes last month  we were allowed  3 litre bottles or 4 70 cl bottles of spirit in Marmaris duty free .

Actually, I am supprised that we still talk about this.
There is no duty free in Europe anymore, the stuff you get in the airports is "tax free" so sometimes you will find it cheaper on the plane or at your "none Europe" duty free.
