Scunner. you may well know this

The last twice we have gone to Ocakbasi we didn't get the usual puffa bread starter. Is this just an off season thing ?

I don't know, I don't work there :D

I think they're probably avoiding using the oven as it's 1000C inside  ;)

Still one of the best restaurants in Fethiye

I know you don't work there ! but i just thought you might have  been on and off season.I did think it was possibly an off season thing with the hot oven. Great place to eat in the winter for sure.

They say it is because the guy who makes them is ill or has illness in the family. they can't do any of the bread stuff including lamachun

We got the bread when we ate there in May. Meal was fab too. Restaurant was very quiet.

Looks like you were lucky - no bread in June and we went twice, hopeful for mini lamachun with the mixed meze .

Even without it was up there with our best meals of the holiday

Up along new prom heading towards Fethiye (coast road) - when you see the monument of heads on the right side, you want to be turning left - just before the trampolines. Ocakbasi is 50m up on the left. Best Adana Kebap I have ever had, in fact nothing comes remotely close, I love the place.

brill, thanks Keith.
Another one for the list that sounds like it is serving traditional foods, not just catering for the european taste.

another place we went to and were the only people for most of the time! Must buy some deodorant.
Lovely authentic fresh food. Will definitely go back.
