New carrier Newcastle to Dalaman

Jet2.com have just announced a new route for next summer from Newcastle to Dalaman from £59.99 oneway inc taxes so hopefully some cheaper flights coming from increased competition.

Jet2, one of the cheapest flight operators BEFORE you add all the non-quoted for items.

Just did a Newcastle to Dalaman price check, a very reasonable £463 for a family of four becomes £749 when you add the taxes, £12 each for airport check in!!! and should you want to take luggage with you, that's £22 a suitcase each.

Should you choose to use the alternative, online check in,you don't pay for "airport check in" at £12 each, you pay £6 each instead. Your initial £463 becomes £725.

Jet2 used to be cheap and still can be if you get in early and are going anywhere else but Turkey it seems.

Isn't it against the law now to quote flight prices ex-tax?

As LBA is our local airport,got excited when Jet2 announced flights to DAL.We thought this being their home base prices would reflect this. Some hope!!Flying TC Sept ex LBA and TC MCH Dec.
