Yep, we did June, thankfully. I guess if we dont like it we can try and get in somewhere else while we are out there as it didnt cost a fortune.

Hi, well I returned from Remer a week ago.
As I mentioned in earlier post, it was basic, I'm sure it's classed as 3*, I would say more a 2*.
They did change my room for me, as it was so noisy, my room backed onto the busy new main road. Rooms not cleaned but clean towels every day.
NO CUSHIONS on sunloungers! Nobody round the pool all day. If they made it more comfortable, maybe people would stay? As soon as someone passed he pool they would start to blast the music! Mad!
Breakfast was literally cucumber, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cheese, bread and jam. And the usual funny tasting cornflakes. NO yogurt and honey, my favourite!
I used the Hotel Area pool most day, as it's always clean and peaceful there, a smaller version of the Mutlu in my opinion. And you gat a welcoming sea breeze. I used to buy my drinks and have lunch there. I also found the Sat beach club! Fab! At 10.30 one morning, I had the whole place to myself, with the sea lapping only a few feet away, so chilled!

I also met Ken and his wife, lovely people, I went to meet them as he was going to lend me a bike, But it was a bit too big, Thanks for going to the trouble to sort it for me Ken!
All in all a lovely relaxed week in Calis, as usual. And in my opinion still as cheap.
Oh and had a meal at Sardunya, had to wait ages between courses and there was only me and another table of 4 in there? New coffee shop on beach road is quite nice, lot's of different coffees/iced coffees etc. Wish I were stil there!!  8)
Bloody freezing here in sunny Bury today!! :(

Jenny - I am sorry to hear that you didnt get a good start to your stay at The Remer, we didnt have any problems at all.  Our rooms were cleaned every day and we got clean towels every day.  As for breakfast, we didnt have yoghurt either but we did have honey.  I dont remember getting yoghurt in the last place we stayed at either, or sun loungers on the pool beds!  The breakfast I thought was the traditional turkish offering - eggs, tomato, cucumber, 2 types of cheese, 2 types of olives, spam meat, bread, honey, jams, nutella, 2 fruit juices and cornflakes....all of which I thought was a good enough selection.  Maybe they have a different manager or chef there and they have made some changes?

The pool area was very quiet when we were there but we liked that as it meant we could spread out lol!.  They do play the music a bit too loud though and its very repetitive but thats not gonna spoil my holiday as I took a pre-loaded ipod :-)

If I had to criticize one major thing about the place, it would be that there wasnt enough storage space in the rooms.  Considering we were in a room with sleeping space for 3, they had 1 drawer and a single wardrobe.  Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again.

Compared to the hole we stayed in on our first ever trip in 2003  - The Taurus, which definitely was a 2 star (we were put in the older part of the buildind where the balcony was hanging off the side of the wall, and Im not joking!) the Remer for me, was a 3 star but I dont have a lot of experience of other hotels to compare it to in Calis.
