Agree with you Linda, the cleaning ladies were the nicest of all, I thought the 'lots' of other staff were lazy personally.....and yes the 2 little cats were entertaining and gorgeous...the view was good but compared to the Harman....well there is none....

We got back Saturday which means you must have been there at the same time as us?????

Hi June, yes we must have been, as we got back today.
We had a fantastic holiday, and didn't let the hotel spoil it, but you do expect certain creature comforts, boiling kettles to have a strip wash isn't something you expect to have to do, but I cant cope with cold showers!
To be fair, the 2 girls at breakfast were friendly enough, but not sure why all the others were there, certainly not for public relations!
There was a bit of a 'staff meeting' going on at breakfast a few of days ago, lots of shouting, and the same day a 15ytl menu went up on the board, very little lighting around the pool, and no hot water, one morning actually even no water at all, so I think there   must be some problems.
Trouble is we just didn't have the inclination to eat there as no atmosphere, and wondered if that's why they weren't friendly.
Our pillows and bedding actually felt wet at times, and like you said, condensation, damp clothes etc.The toilet was the noisiest thing ever, took an eternity to fill up, and couldnt block the sound out as the bathroom door didn't shut!

I really liked the set up of them being small apartment type accommodation, as it was really peaceful and nicer than having people banging about and talking outside your hotel room. It could be a superb hotel, but needs lots of tlc to bring it up to scratch.

Heyho, as I said we had a fab time, couldn't fault the views or the location but wouldn't be keen to recommend it.

Foosey, just go there, enjoy the view, and use it just as somewhere to sleep. Calis is still as fab as ever!

Thanks Linda, think I can put up with most things but am really worried about the damp as I am in the process of getting over a cold/flu and have a bad chest just worried about the damp affecting it.

Foosey - it maybe best to get an upstairs room, some other people we spoke to were upstairs and didn't have damp, seems me and June were downstairs, so maybe that was the problem. Also some of our windows had broken mozzie nets, so we could get any air in, otherwise maybe the sunlight might have helped dry it out.

I wish I had realised it was you Linda, were you in the bottom room on the left second one long??...we were one back from you I think?....you would probably have seen my on my laptop in a morning for a short while or maybe same in the evening...saddo but needs must...!

If we were on the same side it was quite damp, not something you associate with it being so warm??,strange....and we did have the endless filling toilet also, and no hot water a lot...I cannot do cold showers either, we also would have eaten there had there been a bit of atmosphere also but as you say none......the 15ytl menu went up a couple of days before we came back...we thought it  would have been for a reason..!

Agree totally that it could be so lovely with some work and TLC, never mind as you say we did not let it spoil our holiday either and breakfast with that view and the cats antics was good.

Wendy, you will have a good time,as Linda says ask for an upstairs room when you get there, they are smaller than downstairs but hopefully not as damp.

And yes Calis is just as great as ever....... :)

Blime Kaya, you weren't in room 113 were you,(09/10/09-16/10/09) we had exactly the same problems, but for 4 quid for a week b&b, I for one ain't gonna complain!!! The place was spotless & if they didn't charge 4tl for a beer I'm sure the bar would be busier. Can never understand why bog doors don't close unless you lock them !!!

no I wasn't, we changed rooms after 2 days because the first toilet was even worse than the next one, and that door didn't shut either, so its obviously part of the design!
