Locked Topic... the facts.

just to clear up the hearsay and confusion on the recently locked topic started by spiritsofadventure.
unfortunately it was me that was was involved in a domestic incident with my long term (now ex partner) who works in a bar in calis.
i was hit in the face with a metal pole and sustained horrible injury to my nose and eye. i have now moved home and would like to thank all of the friends and my family for their support and continued calm approach to what has happened.
spirit saw me out in calis a few days after the assault and was obviously and quite normally horrified by the state of my face at that time.
i wont further inflame the situation by naming and shaming anyone or bar as the people who live here locally are already voting with their feet.
this situation is being dealt with appropriately and i am now moving on with my life.

I'm very sorry to hear of your domestic problems minxer. I think the way it came across when spiritsofadventure posted was more like a random street attack or one by an unwanted pest. Not that it would make it any more or less acceptable of course. I have since spoken with SoA and am aware of the bar concerned. I asked him, in the original topic and since, to name it and he declined (which is his right and choice of course).

Is home not the UK? You are still abroad according to your IP. Anyway, sorry to read about your situation and good luck with the getting on with your life part

Sorry about your situation Minxer...as regards SOA....having put his original post on we expected names and a bar and it just makes you a bit mad when that is not forthcoming as we feel helpless nothing can be done regardless of what has has told us.

Anyway, take care of yourself and hope things work our for you back home.

thanks for the kind words folks.. rimms there was only myself and ex partner involved, i dont know anything about the other incident!
my ex has absolutely no shame or remorse atall its been a big shock to me as we were together 3 years with no previous violence.
iam gritting my teeth and swearing inwardly as he walks around like a cockerel with his bar buddies..its almost like the injury was some kind of sick trophy. iam just praying that he leaves the resort or i will have to. without a 24hr armed guard i wont and dont feel safe here as the threats are still coming thick and fast.. either i leave or he will make life for me here a "problem" as he calls it.
iam usually quite a fiesty personality but having a fractured eye socket has frightened me, i was really lucky it didnt take my eye. lets just say this has bought out my tearfull side.
