weather warning for up north uk

BBC weather @ 1 pm forecast  today 100 mm - 200 mm  thats [ 4 ins - 8 ins ] of rain for thursday / friday..

all those who complain of dear flights from up north uk its your lucky day , need not worry cos you can float to Calis  .

It's stopped here in York now but was bad earlier. Sad thing is we go south this weekend and guess whare the rain is heading?

you can tell it's sunny and hot by UK standards in the picture as the Turks are in wooly jumpers, jackets and cardigans!

Sadly not always the case Jacqui. This is the slope opposite our humble abode and we've been flooded threee times in the last 14 months:(

We live 1/3 mile up a farm road, built the house in 1983 and even though there has been lots of flooding over the years, we are too high up to suffer.   So we are really lucky.
