For our last visit I checked prices at FTC and they were ok. When I went to book two returns the outgoing flight jumped £80 (£40 per fare). I returned it to 1 person and it went back down £40. Disgraceful I thought, it's like a surcharge on groups of more than one person.
I decided to book one at a time to save £80. First one booked, £40 saved. Time to book another 1 return. Price, up £40. I booked that anyway, thus saving £40 (not the hoped for £80 but £40 in our pocket was well worth the 10 minutes spent rather than booking 2 returns together).
When we got to the airport we were told that as we had two seperate bookings we couldn't sit together. In fact, we were given boarding cards for two seats around 12 rows apart. When the flight had taken off and the seatbelt sign went off, we both moved into an empty row of 3 about half way between us. Funny how we weren't allowed to have boarding cards for that empty row of three at the time of checking in. Anyone would think they just want to inconvenience you
