I remember my Grandad being amazed shortly before he died when video recorders came out and him saying that must be it now, surely technology cant really go any further. What a shock he would have now if he was still alive. Its sad as I think he would have loved the internet, and I can imagine him emailing me all sorts of odds and ends as he was always cutting funny things out of the newspaper.
I'm still using my Sharp microwave that I bought for £125 on interest free credit in 1984.
And I had a Sony betamax, the man in the shop insisted we would follow America and VHS would be obsolete.
I also remember my Dad being so proud of his 8 track stereo in his car.
And I've still got my Sinclair Spectrum pc and loads of games in a cupboard, though I'm not sure why.
