Yeah sounds positive although personally I can't see why a large shopping complex would be a good idea.

From the Hurriyet article "a city planner, said the completion of the esplanade would see a 'seamless' link between Fethiye's town center and Caliş, a nearby resort, which was completed this year."

Is the Calis/Fethiye prom completed - if not what is the "which was completed this year" they refer to ?

I am of the opinion that before anyone started creating this "arty farty" marina, they should be doing something with calis beach.this is where the hotels are, this is where the tourists stay.when they get here they are greeted with this s***pit, litteraly!!!!!

Well ive just read this about the changes had to laugh at the bloke who said about brand names attracting the youths,no way are they going to pay 200ytl or more for just one Armarni Shirt, when they can buy copies on the market for 15ytl,the only thing what will get folks back into the shops is the prices so if shop owners who have inflated the prices because the brits are here or as we are known as (The Golden Tits)decide to stop taking the p-ss,out off us then maybe they will become busy once again.[:(!]
