The Most Boring Piece of Footie Trivia I Ever Saw
« on: January 29, 2010, 13:35:06 PM »
I was doing some football reading online and went to Wikipedia to read about former Dutch star Robbie Resenbrink. Here I found a jewel of a fact:

"A talented dribbler as well as a cool finisher, he only ever missed two penalties in his entire career, and often enjoyed telling the keeper before hand where he was going to place the ball, and then still beating him there. Ironically enough, both unsuccesful penalties were taken against goalkeepers who enjoyed the music of Hothouse Flowers, leaving some to term Rensenbrink "Mr Can't Score Against Hothouse Flowers Fans".

Those Dutch eh, they love a laugh.
