The craft stalls on the marina have now gone. According to LoL, they've been demolished as they'd originally been let, at relatively small rents, specifically for the sale of crafts. The belediye decided that several had privately changed hands at much higher rents & not necessarily to craft sellers, therefore, it was unfair competition for the shops.

Thats a pity as it was a nice feature on the seafront Seems greed has reared its ugly head again Shame for the genuine vendors some of who were really lovely people especially one lady who made jewellery

The cafe in front of the theatre and at the end of the strip has been removed today. All done very neatly with the polis looking on.We sometimes used this cafe in summer...don't know what has happened to it or why.

Would that have been Ziggie's place then? It used to sell beer at 2 and a half Lira and was very popular until it went up to three. What a shame. He is a really nice guy and it wasa good suntrap.

What a shame (as usual) that a few abused the system of low rents but everyone got closed down. Why not boot out the abusers and leave the honest traders alone? Is that really too difficult to do?
