i think it is because the 7th is the first day they fly out to dalaman for the season, so in effect the plane will be empty for the return leg.
It worked out about £50 from dalaman to manchester including taxes and hold baggage.

Just checked them for two addults and a 1 year old infant for 19th May , 10 days..
Seems about 100 pounds cheaper than TC but when you add all the charges, baggage, check in, meal etc it's about the same

yeah, i am going out with thomas cook , I presume it's only cheaper at the minute as if the first flight out you can book with jet2 is the 7th, no one will be wanting to come home on the same day !

on another note I was going to use them to fly to malaga in september, £25 flight but then they wanted £29 for a hold bag !

Yep just booked Thomas Cook
577 pounds for two adults and a child including baggage, seats together, meals etc.
