Hello
Our first time on the messageboard so here goes... We have just bought a new property in Fethiye/Calis area so loking forward to a great Summer! We have visited Turkey many times across about sixteen years, visiting lots of places but think Fethiye is the best. After reading the message board we think the whole area is full of people who just go to Turkey all the time. Cool! Hope to bump into some of you this season

Hi Steve - thanks for the welcome.

We have bought a place in Gloria Park , Patlangic Village , Babatasi.
Dont know how well you know tha area but it is just off the road from Fetiye to Calis , 50 m. past the roundabout with the lights on on the right.

We should be completing around end of Dec and then hope to get there in Feb to do some setting up - or in Jali's words "SHOPPING".

Dont suppose you have any tips on getting flights at that time of year do you ?.

Cheers

Jaki and Neil

Fraid not. We have just purchased and are also looking at coming out early next year. There are plenty of posts on this subject which seem to result in 2 options:

1. Fly to istanbul and then connect to dalaman (Turkish Airways)
2. Fly to Antalya and then a 3 to 4hr drive/bus ride

If you come across any good deals - let me know

Thanks for the Warm Welcome everyone !!.

After many hours searching in cyber space I think the best place to find off season flights is direct with Turkish Airlines ( THY )

Managed to get the flights for Feb going via Istanbul which does require an overnight stay both ends but what the heck - a bit of excitement never hurt anyone. On second thoughts at my age it could be downright dangerous.
