Hi Catswhisker - welcome to CBF.  I put this language thing down to the fact that the fellas don't mind if they make total idiots of themselves (normal operating procedure !) but us girlies are a little more reserved !  Mr Pookie goes wading in -  its often much wiser to sit back wisely and let them make the mistakes first !!

Actually, I don't mind admitting that I find turkish so so difficult - and thats from a girl who did two years business Japanese !  Yes, OK, I admit it, Mr Pookie is much better than I, there I've said it

Hi and thanks all for the welcome.
Have to agree that the fellas don't mind making an ass of themselves when trying to speak the lingo. I can make myself understood (mostly) when shopping!! I have tried the lessons but my brain can't cope :D
