I've been waiting all morning for a follow up to this last post - nothing, not a thing posted about anything. Can someone on the ground please let us know what the latest is with Tom and Misha?

Whilst I fully understand your concerns Val, but the wonderful people who have got the campaign this far, DO have lifes of their own. So lets just wait for them to let us know when they can, shall we.

Not for one minute questioning that they have lives of there own and have total admiration for them - just very concerned by the sad news and desperate for a follow up to the alarming situation

That's totally understandable Val. Perhaps it would be useful for christine to come back on and give us more details of what she knows.

Being a fully committed supporter of the save the dolphins campaign, myself and my wife were amongst the hundreds of marchers who turned out in support of it.
However it was a body blow today to see the banners stretched across the road in Ovacik today proclaiming the dolphinarium now open.!!
What is the problem with the local authorities, are they so out of touch with the modern world, and sensability that they can't accept what is going on.
Its finally brought home to me what I've been suspecting for a long time now,Turkey is a country apparently run by village people.

I was also very shocked to see the banners flying across the road in Ovacik today, suggesting that you visit your local tour operator, or call the numbers displayed and that Tim and Misha were waiting for you [:(!][:(!]:-\

They can put as many banners up in Ovacik, Uzumlu, Olu Deniz, Calis, Fethiye or wherever else they like!  It will not make people go. It may actually work in our favour as hopefully anybody who asks about taking part with local tour operators or other holidaymakers will be educated to the plight of Misha & Tom!!  The boycott campaign is working well and it will NOT be STOPPED!!

Very sad news indeed I was also on the protest march, it seems to have not done a thing, also just been passed Yalcins restaurant and the baby goat is back in full sun, no drink and begging box, I told him he is cruel got a load of verbal back and had to hold back my husband back before he punched him, that is why we are so disallusioned with Turkey they simply dont listen to people's views they know best obviously!!!!!!

This is Turkey and we must respect (as yabanci) the way things are done here.  It is their country whether we agree to the way things are run (or not  ;))
Re: the kid (baby goat) I believe the law is being broken 8) with regards to the welfare of the animal - report it and make sure you get a report number and FOLLOW IT UP! REPORT TO A HIGHER AUTHORITY IF NECESSARY.  It has been mentioned on here but can't remember which page.
Don't forget, chaps, who we are dealing with (and I don't mean the Russian).  If you know the history (and I don't mean people who live in the area because they do) then this is a long hard slog.  Don't give up.

While we understand every ones frustration with the current situation it may be of interest to know that the Dolphin Park is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Who can blame them for advertising their failing business in a last ditch attempt to get customers while they sink further into the quagmire of their own (and Keramettin's) making.

Please rest assured that there is no in-action on the part of the Dolphin Angels. This is a full time job and we have given up any lives of our own with personal loss of time and income in our efforts to see the Dolphins out of that pool.

There is a dedicated team working on this and not a day or night goes by when we stop doing everything necessary to bring an end to this situation.

There are a number of things going on which we can not disclose publicly - what we need from all of you is to continue what you are doing by raising awareness of the issue, letting everyone know that the water is a sewage pit and rife with diseases and they enter it at their peril.

We must maintain the boycott to reinforce the message that there never will be a profitable business here.
