Heather, if you are still having difficulties, this might help. Please just google Economic Voice, and then click on their web page, search "dolphins"

Ruthy I think then you must be heaven sent. I have sent many letters!!! I have asked for Thomas Cook's policy on dolphinariums worldwide which are using dolphins living in poor conditions and poor health. Sea Alanya has a notorious reputation yet there is a picture of this hellhole on page 18 of your Airtours Summer 2011 brochure... I would like to send you copies of my original letters, which I can retrieve from my hard drive. I am curious as to why you say no one has sight of my letters. Thomas Cook have never endorsed the swim with dolphins in Hisaronu, however, you do sell swim with dolphins elsewhere. As you have introduced yourself as a main point of contact with the issue of sustained tourism I will be glad to hear your comments, and would be grateful for your help. Thanks for being in touch. If you can give me a direct email address/guaranteed postal address for your department i would be grateful.

Looooong summer holidays, kids bored witless and driving you mad!

Here is a little project that Kath a FB member came up with that could give them something to do and give you a well earned break.

"why dont we get some children to 'write' simple letters and draw pictures of the dolphins".

What an excellent idea. The Turks love children.

These are the people and addresses that the letters and pictures should be sent to.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs

Minister of Environment & Forestry

In Turkey or overseas send everything recorded delivery - it doesn't cost much and everything then has to be signed for, so you know it will be received. It also arrives more quickly sent this way.

Born Free Activate team, the guy that runs the web site and Cathy at WDCS have been contacted and asked to publicise.

If you know another organisation that will post this on their web site go right ahead and contact them.

Post it here and on FB topic in Discussions so we know what's been done.

If you know a play group, a summer play scheme a youth club or have contact with people that work with children then ask them if they can help too.

Hi flipflop2, happy to help.  I will try and find out where your letters went but am happy for you to email my department directly - sustainability@thomascook.com
Just to let you know I am away from Friday for a week as well, so please don't think I am ignoring you if you don't get a reply!
Oh and Sea Alanya - we don't actually sell this any more either; it was stopped due to the poor conditions but the brochures are printed up to 18 months in advance so it seems to have got in there by mistake. It's definitely not being sold to customers though!
