Mr 'H' anything is of help!!

Can't help thinking though - we know according to the mayor for whatever reason this 'pond' will be finished and that is the end of that!!

Can it realistically open as a dolphinarium keeping in mind the conditions, location, lack of sea water, chemicals which are harmful to humans let alone the dolphins, the damage which will be done to the local wildlife from the traffic exhaust fumes alone, the damage which will be done to the local tourist area from the bad press which it will receive, and many other reasons?

If as has been stated the mayor has no plans whatever for this site apart from the construction plans, which has already been stated are not on view in his office. How on earth was he going to use European rules to allow this to open. Seems to me whatever reason someone saw it was a chance to make money!! Who for? Who knows!!

To what end? The DEATH OF THE DOLPHINS!!

The top post above reduced me to tears. I will email the bloody Pope if I thought it woud help. I myself, my friends, neighbours and all their friends etc will not visit Hisaranou until this matter is resolved. No this is unfair to the local bars and restuarants but that is how strongly I feel about this matter.

You would think Turkey would take the lead in this and prohibit this venture, think how many brownie points they would score.

Good news for Wednesday!
Any chance of any media being there? What about getting fethiye haber ajance there - there seems to be an ally there who spoke out in the paper on 28th March.

I thought you may like to see the two boys that we are trying to save from the obscene cruelty of Hisaronu Dolphinarium Please do not think they are smiling, they are clearly bored to pieces at the moment, they have no mental stimulation, and are incacerated in their wire mesh cages.the only saving grace is that there are no tourists hanging onto their little fins for hours on end, swimming in impossibly amall circles. You can see where the skin on their noses bear healed marks made in the summer from when they try to escape by rubbing up against the wire.
AT LEAST THEY ARE IN SEA WATER...REMEMBER THE CHLORINE AND CHEMICAL COCTAILL IN THE HISARONU POOL WILL BADLY AFFECT THEIR EYES AND WILL DAMAGE THEIR SIGHT CAUSING BLINDNESS!!

Just sent this e-mail to Prince Charles, well done to you all for keeping this on the radar.

"I believe that Prince Charles was very interested in saving the Turtle Beach in Dalyan and took a keen interest in what was happening in terms of securing a safe habitat for nesting Turtles, his interest any contribution is now also urgently requested again. His Royal highness might be interested to learn about the new tourist attraction that is being built in Hisaronu in Turkey. It is the terrible construction of a 12 X 17 metres Dolphinarium that apparently is going to accommodate two dolphins, what more needs to be said! This is ghastly and we all doing what we can to raise awareness about this utter folly!

Could we please call on Prince Charles to do what he can to stop this going ahead?
