I've fixed one image link, the other two don't seem to be where it says they should be?

How can they put those 2 defenceless dolphins in that 'Pond'?  Got this off FB.
Mugla agriculture dept. will be inspecting the proposed site this week although it is doubtful that they would make a decision on the risk to the health of the dolphins prior to the facility opening. In the meantime it is suggested we we fax our concerns to Osman Kurt 0252 214 12 42 who will be part of the inspection team.

We must all be doing something right!!!!

Thank you for all the contact details, I am following them all up.
Some one I know, and no too far from here, went to kas this week and took the above fotos. To give you all an idea of the professionalism of those caring for these two amazing animals, they were asked how they would be transported on the lengthy journey from Kas to Hisaronu.
The reply was that they would just rub them with grease and pack them with ice!
As for who the vet is that they use when needed..the young man replied,oh i do whatever it is they want
Did he have any qualifications, nope he just got lucky and got the job!
I could go on...but its too depressing to recount
I thank every one of you that sends a letter or makes even one telephone call....this must be stopped

Sent email on Sunday Kevin. Even although it specified Organisations and not personal emails, I believe if he received enough he would take notice.

Did you recognise the picture above as the Kas Dolphin Therapy comparing it with their wonderful web site. NO! I thought not
Some one not too far from here went to kas yesterday.
If you are in any doubt as the profesionalism of the outfit read on..
When asked how they would move the two dolphins on the lengthy road journey fro Kas to hisaronu.. easy just rub them with grease and pack them with ice!
Did the trainer have any qualifications.. no he just got lucky
What vet did they use for dolphins.. yes you guessed it.. the trainer acts as vet and gives them what the need
I could go on but its too depressing to recount
The wire netting is the ENTIRE enclosure, or cage, where they have spent years inside. in the summer it is divided into two, for more customers I would think
The enclosure looks bigger on the fotos than it is in real life!
Lets not forget that the Russian mans PR said after working hard in the summer they will go back to Kas for a holiday!
In my mind they will be moved back and forth from one hell to another.
There has to be something that we can do,

Just need to keep doing what we are doing Judith!!  As we all know this 'pond' has to be given the go ahead by top ministry officials, some of whom are vets, biologists, conservationists etc.  In all honesty they would have to hang their heads in shame if they even considered the transporting of the dolphins or the opening of this 'Pond'.

By the way does anyone know if there are any special rules re the transportation of animals in Turkey, especially dolphins?  Or can people just do as they wish?

WWF man came today,he was very concerned, took fotos, made copius notes and inspected construction, inspected the whole location of the site and its surrounding areas, talked to the Fet tele reporter, land of lights and Hurriyet reporters in depth.
He will be back at his desk tomorrow and I have no doubt that this project made an impression on him. He will carry out a WWF investigation relating to all matters from transference of animals to whether the pool meets standards and then WWF will produce a published report, The WWF is a world wide organisation, well experienced, and well respected around the globe.  He will also make contact with the other major organisations eg WDPC to create a bigger impact.
However, we must bear in mind that this investigation WILL take time, and we do not have too much of it.
The contact details for the WWF is as follows aoruc@wwf.org.tr the ladies name is Ayse who speaks excellent english,
The whale and dolphin conservation society is cathy.williamson@wdcs.org
