walked past there today...  unfortunately they are progressing  with it :-\ they have now erected `hession` around the area, presumably to stop people peering in or showing their disapproval. I  reckon they are planning to open about July 1st [:(!]... just when the turkish tourists start arriving in numbers to Hisaronu[:(!]

Hi, I work in the activities office in Hisaronu, did you call there or to the Oludeniz Office. In either case, if you had asked to speak to the management or a proprietor, I am sure the response would have been different. I have been quite verbal on here and on Facebook about this so called dolphinarium or 'POND' and Denise Tangal, founder of ... See moreActivities has been quoted from the start of the protest. Do call again and we will do all we can to help, as a company Activities has already boycotted the sale of any tickets to the Dolphinarium long belong it opens.

Perhaps not so fast, umpy seems to indicate that no all staff are on message but it seems that the message from those that count is that they are against and WILL NOT be selling tickets.

Sorry GB maybe now after all what everybody has heard and read on this forum it is now a FACT people will say what they think you want to hear!  Officials are changing their minds by the minute!
You will hear from various tour operators that ...............
we will not sell tickets, we are against it (Actually got it in e mails from various operators who are now silent and not commiting themselves!)  People can draw their own conclusions as to why??????????????????????
I SINCERELY hope that as you have posted PEOPLE THAT COUNT ARE AGAINST IT!  That they are doing all they can to stop MISHA & TOM from ending up in the 'HELLHOLE'!!
If people didn't know we are trying to SAVE MISHA & TOM!!

Carole and Tayfun have said tonight that we can put boards outside of their offices in Hisaronu to declare publicly they do not wish to profit in any way from animal cruelty.

We will be asking other tour operators to do likewise, we will soon find out who will sell tickets!!

We will also be running an advertisement in The Land of Lights naming those operators against the venture, for public to view.
This will be another test for those sitting on the proverbial fence!!

To any travel company out there reading this..Selling tickets to the public for the dolphinarium will be made public knowledge!!

So umpy are Activities Unlimited willing to put their money were their mouth is and put up the poster in all their offices. Also tell all their staff that when people enquire about the dolphinarium that Activities Unlimited not only does not sell tickets for this but also is actively against it. I for one will only be using companies that are showing support against this project.

The Russian is now searching for a vet to carry out the inspection of the dolphins prior to transportation.

It is crucial that we now contact as many vets as possible to inform them of the situation.

They may be unaware of the pool size, the fact that it does not meet ANY of the european standards, that chlorine will be used, there is no shaded area, no qualified vet or trainer, the pool is not insulated against noise or vibrations etc etc AND he, the russian, will be breaking the Turkish law of animal welfare of 2004

What vet would want to support this venture

If a vet cannot show compassion in this situation, then how will he-she show compassion to our pets!!

WE URGENTLY NEED YOU TO CONTACT YOUR VETINARY SURGEONS
                TOMORROW AT THE LATEST,

                              BECAUSE

THE RUSSIAN WILL BE DOING THE SAME!!!!

Please suggest to your vet that he follows the protest on either Trip adviser, facebook or CBF, which incidently has now had over 30,000 visits! All potential customers!

The person concerned went to the Carole & Tayfun and Activities Offices to ask them to display a poster because they had both stated that they would not support the Hisaronu Dolphinarium and we have advertised their stated positions on here several times.

This person was very upset at the reaction received not anticipating this because had believed that AU were not supporting this. If all staff know the company position this would not have happened and we are reporting what happens as it happens as it is reported as long as we believe the account to be accurate.

We are happy to know that AU will not be supporting this and hope they are willing to advertise this fact. If this incident helps clarify the situation then this all to the good; hopefully.
