Good work all the vets!!  Surely as Dr Altiparmak is also a vet he should have the same attitude?  As he is now the head man in Antalya he could stop this!  How much is the Russian willing to pay I wonder?  If the transportation licence is signed it will have the vets name on and everybody will know exactly who he is and he should be treated accordingly!!

I did go to IKARUS travel agency and they were advertising swim with dolphins at KAS..the front man Emre told me " but not at the moment...the dolphins are having babys, maybe in 15 days time you can swim"

I then went to SEASIDE tourism and travel agency they were advertising swim with dolphins again this was in KAS...sundays and wednesdays £75 pick up and drop off at your hotel.

Then it was on to ACTIVITIES UNLIMETED....again advertising swim with dolphins, again it was KAS...sundays and wednesday £25 PLUS the swim with the dolphins another £55...again pick up and drop off service from your hotel. Tha lady at this place was a very nice English lady who gave me the infomation.!!

I do have to say that ALL the above DID NOT mention the pool at Hisaronu....the ones that were promoting swim with dolphins were all promoting the Kas centre.

Dolphin Angels i have the advertising leaflets if you want them,if you want them you can message me and we can arrange to meet at the Hisaronu pool.

Umpy,

Is it just the Hisaronu Office that does not sell tickets to Kas but the Activities Unlimited office in Ölüdeniz does?

I don't want to labour the point but the same issue with Seaside Tours makes this all very confusing.

To most people the company is one company just with different offices in different locations.

Look forward to your reply, thanks Nichola

Hi Nichola,  just found five minutes to read this, Yes the 2 offices are seperate and offer different excursions.  Here in Hisaronu we do not offer any swimming with Dolphins as our representative told Pete Jackson the other night.  Do you have a business here, Nichola?

Please bring your poster and after we have examined it and providing it is not contravening any laws here in Turkey we will be happy to display it.

Once again we are a business providing family days out, however the welfare of animals is of concern to the owners and management of this business and we would not want to profit in any way from the suffering of any animals.

Thank you Jane

I am sure you can understand that to most people Activities Unlimited is one and the same regardless of the location of its different offices.

Unless... you are saying that AU Hisaronu and AU Oludeniz are totally different companies I can't say that I can see the difference either.

If the Dolphinarium opens in Hisaronu then the campaign to educate and inform tourists will be stepped up and the work to see it closed will begin in earnest and that will almost certainly include identifying and promoting companies that do not support any Dolphinarium and therefore identifying and naming those that do..

You as a member of the Facebook group and clearly against the Hisaronu Dolphinarium are aware of the issues and the strength of feeling about this.

One of the things that has been highlighted from the campaign is that the conditions in Kas are not so great either and we have all been enlightened about the issues generally in relation to  Dolphins in captivity.

So while the campaign started in Hisaronu there is a movement now to close all Dolphinarium in Turkey.

I would recommend (although it's every ones choice of course) that businesses that rely on tourists and local people who recommend local tour/travel agents to their visitors clarify their position and that position is consistent across the board because I really don't think anyone will care about the niceties of which office or not.

I am not trying to be pedantic but a company either does or it doesn't.

THINGS TO DO...

CONTACT YOUR VET
Phone numbers on previous page.

Ask him-her if they would act as vet for the transportation, are they aware that that the pool does not meet any of the European standards, and are they aware of the protest worldwide.

DOWNLOAD THE POSTER
on page 56  and  57 and give to as many friends, family and buisinesses in Hisaronu as possible

COPY AND PASTE
letters from page 57, 58 and 60 and send to our new Vali who speaks english, muglaozelkalem@gmail.com
re send letters to any contacts on previous pages, the volumme of emails may make a difference to whether they are read!

COPY AND PASTE

letter re transmittable diseases page 61 to the minister of health info@saglik.gov.tr and to the minister of agriculture, pg 61

CALL INTO YOUR LOCAL TRAVEL AGENCY
Its a simple question, can you buy tickets to swim with the dolphins.
Lets get this issue underway with earnest, and post your replies.

WE NEED AN UPDATE ON THE DOLPHINS IN KAS

WE WOULD LIKE TO THINK ITS IS JUST A RUMOUR BUT APPARENTLY ONLY ONE HAS BEEN SEEN THERE IN THEIR CAGE!!!!!!!!

Please contact whoever you know in the area to pay a visit and post the result.

IF YOU CAN DO JUST ONE OF THE ABOVE IT MAY WELL BE THE VERY STRAW THAT BREAKS THE CAMELS BACK,
IF YOU DO MORE, even if you are repeating work you have already done, THEN YOU WILL DEFINATELY BE OF IMMENSE HELP TO STOP THIS APPALLING CRUELTY NOW.

on behalf of our two boys... we thank you

The dolphins are here, now, in the pool, both of them.

This is monstrous, they are huge things, they look really distressed

All the protesting came to nothing

Oh dear how terriby sad.  Dolphin Angels you have all worked very hard to try and halt the movement of these two beautiful animals.  Hopefully this venture will not prosper as many tour agencies have siad that they will not 'sell tickets'.
We looked at the pool last week when in the area and we all found it distressing to see.
Maybe just maybe these animals will not be here for long.
