The last Calis Carnival Car Boot Sale of the winter season takes place this Sunday 18 April.

The popular monthly event, which regularly attracts people from as far afield as Marmaris, Denizli and Kas takes place in the car park at the rear of Made Ice Cream parlour next to the Bahar Hotel in Calis and the sale runs from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.

Stalls cost 10 lira each (2 table's space) and sellers can hire tables at 2 lira. Charity stalls are allowed one stall space free of charge.

All money raised from stall fees and the Carnival committee stall goes towards Calis Carnival and the carnival charity helping children in the local area.

After the summer break the sales will restart again in September. Please ring 0535 8554919 or 0536 3739520 for information.

Well it was a 4 a.m start and as usual there were cars already there on the car park!! There were roughly the same amount of stalls today but fewer people there. Maybe this was due to the flight problems in the u.k?  Customers were predominantly Turkish this week.  Most people who were selling did really well also as usual. We had fabulous weather again. In fact we have only had to cancel once since last September, when the boot sales started again after the Summer break. We have certainly been very lucky with the weather all Winter. We would like to say a special thank you to everyone who turned up to help the committee today. We couldn't have done it without you. Also to everyone who has donated in any way at all, either goods or help over the last 8 months thank you very much. We couldn't help all these children without you all. Thank you from us all at Calis Carnival.  See U in September When the boot sales start again and we hope that you can make the Carnival Week itself. xx

The Animal Aid stall certainly had a good day raising 530 lira
Big Thanks to Karen and Marie for their help in covering for Simon and Terrie in their absence.

Thanks to all the supporters that came to us with toys for the dogs and cash donations and also the 'tails of woe' stories:D

We had a stall there and I would like to say, how cheerful and lovely were the poor souls who were there since 4am.  We were greeted with two smiley faces when hubby dropped us off at 6.30 am and they were still smiling when we saw them much later in the morning.  The ladies manning the Carnival Stalls were really lovely too.
You do a brilliant job, all of you.
