We all have our favourite restaurants, but what is important is, it would be difficult to get a bad meal in Calis.  All the restaurants work really hard to give us tourists great meals at very reasonable prices.  I know you will be spoilt for choice.

Pat
There are some great restaurants in calis, quite a few of them seel very similar food, it is a lot cheaper than you eat out at home, beer cheaper, spirits about the same, sure you will love it, it is the most chilled out place in turkey.

I would definately try the bbq at Bostans on the seafront. At the moment they are doing one every Sat night.... 20tl all you can eat, and the menu includes chicken, steak, lamb, kebabs, fish, liver, mezes and baklava to follow. Excellent value and excellent food!

Mozaik Bahce near Fish Market.
Ocakbasi near trampoline park which is about 100yards beyond hello cafe. ie across from the heads on Kordon.
And there are loads of small places around town.

If you are staying in Calis the best Traditional Turkish restaurant is the Sardunya Restaurant, opposite Scarlets Bar. Great food.  My husband is mad about the liver and onions, which is nothing like the meal you get in the U.K.  The Meze is really good too, the prices are really reasonable.
