Contract terminated, or sacked as we used to call it:

I don't think West Ham deserved him.

We've seen it a few times - when a manager has no knowledge of an attempt to sign a player by his own club, the end is nigh. He'll be a great success somewhere, where they back him completely. I agree with both you gents, they didn't deserve him and you can only be pleased at the outcome for him personally.

Good luck to Zola who displays the same class as a man as he did as a player.

Many Hammers fans myself included sad to see the little man go.How many managers would give cups of coffee to waiting reporters outside his home ? The man is such a decent guy I would have liked him to have had maybe ten games next season and see if he could turn it around but the new owners need to see a return for saving the club from administration so the team must improve on a dismal season :(
Zola was installed on an inflated salary with limited experience in management so a big pay-off should keep him smiling. When the top drawer player and no 2 Steve Clarke reputed to be one of the best coaches in Europe were appointed I was well upbeat

My  choice of new manager - Sparky Hughes  :) but it looks like Avram Grant is in the frame   :) :)
