Holiday at Harman hotel
« on: May 14, 2010, 09:54:08 AM »
Hi all, I've just joined this forum as I'll be on holiday at Harman Hotel 1-11 June and as it's my first visit to Turkey outside of Istanbul, will be interested to read about the resort. Also if anyone has any comments about the hotel???? I shall be travelling with my partner from Crete, Greece where we live and meeting up with my son his wife, 4 yr.old and 2 month old children so we're looking for peace & beach with interesting culture as it's their first time to Turkey as well. Thanks to everyone in anticipation - it looks a great place anyway.

Harman Hotel is an excellent choice, not to far from town centre and beaches, you will be fine there.

Thanks all for the encouragement. As I said, I live in Crete,Greece but am English. This forum sounds just like ours - new fish & chip shop, buying cheddar cheese etc!! Haven't yet found the complaints about 'booze-fuelled youngster' (to quote certain media) on holiday in the resort tho. Guess the local culture lets you off that one? Or do the tour operators/hotel owners manage to get round it? I'm also curious about the incredibly cheap prices for hotel rooms. Do the owners/workers make a living out of them? Crete is quite an expensive tourist destination and, in Greece's current financial mess maybe could learn from Turkey?

Thanks a lot, Yabanaci! Also, what does that name mean? There's a beach bar here on Crete with the same name! Are you Greek?
