ooopppss - Earthquake Insurance

oh dear.....we have just noticed that our earthquake policy ends this weekend.....and we are stuck in UK.   Does anyone know if we how / if we can renew remotely ?  We have tried to contact our usual agent via fax / phone, but not able to get through.

Some one told me that you have to have the dask by law and can't just be covered by someone such as Intasure, is this right ?  or have i completely got the wrong end of the stick ?

Hi Pookie,

Intasure will do it - its not included in the main policy but they will arrange it if you wish (though they charge a little extra to cover the admin).

In fact I just had a letter from them notifying ours is due for renewal and asking me to confirm details were unchanged.

oh Thanks for that we already have a standard policy with intasure, so I will see if they can bolt it on.  But I thought we had to have a regulated turkish policy to ie: Dask ?  Am I wrong ?

Pookie,

you do get a "proper" DASK policy from Intasure - they don't provide the insurance, they just arrange it all for you and send you the official DASK certificate.

Look here http://www.intasure.com/dask_insurance.asp

All sorted by Intasure - fantastic service and only £10 admin charge - small price to pay for peace of mind.  Thanks Ian.
